Manager Human Resources

The Manager of Human Resources will lead and guide the HR team at Kyocera’s European Headquarters (KDEM), while also overseeing the back-office function of the branch office in Germany (BOG), ensuring the delivery of modern, transparent, and effective HR practices that support employee development, well-being, and organizational success. This role involves balancing business and employee needs, overseeing key HR domains, and driving continuous improvement in HR services to maintain Kyocera’s position as a preferred employer in the industry.

What does this role entail?

Strategy Development

  • Collaborate with the General Manager HR to define the HR strategy and long-term vision based on the company’s overall strategy, market developments and employee needs.
  • Set annual and monthly goals for the HR team, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic direction.
  • Align operational and/or strategic activities with the overall company direction, driving initiatives that support the broader vision.
  • Lead large-scale HR projects that involve multiple HR expertise areas.


Leadership and Team Development

 

  • Lead and motivate the HR team to develop their respective areas in line with the determined strategy.
  • Manage daily operations, including workforce management, quality monitoring and stakeholder alignment.
  • Initiate and support HR projects to improve HR processes and contribute to making KDEM a top employer.
  • Coach and guide the HR team by offering daily support, conducting weekly check-ins, and providing a monthly focus on their professional and personal development.
  • Department and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Proactively manage stakeholder relationships to align expectations, gather regular feedback, and build support for HR initiatives.
  • Seek opportunities to maintain or enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that can support business results, including leadership, organizational development, and reorganization programs.
  • Initiate business proposals for HR changes to management and coordinate implementation upon approval.
  • Foster a positive company culture that promotes transparency, respect, and happiness.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between management and team members as needed.

Administration and Operations

  • Accountable for administrative activities such as performance management, approval of working hours, travel expenses, invoice management, monthly financial planning and internal approval processes.
  • Owner and gatekeeper of policy and regulation updates concerning governance and compliance checks like ELC and SOX (Audit related processes). 
  • Coordinate any HR legal cases, where needed with external legal support.

Your Knowledge and Skills

  • 8+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and process-oriented skills with a structured approach.
  • Experience leading change management processes and rolling out corporate policies.
  • Knowledge of Dutch labour laws and legislation.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory), Dutch language proficiency preferred.
  • International experience in an HR capacity.
