Expert International Financial Controller

The Expert International Finance Controller is responsible for the operational and strategic Finance improvement for treasury, cash management and consolidation for Kyocera Document Solution Europe Management headquarters (KDEM) and its Sales Companies across the EMEA Group (KDEM-G).
 

What you will be doing

In this position, the Expert International Finance Controller manages and coordinates all related financial and accounting activities within the assigned Sales Companies such as to improve cash management, treasury activities, SG&A control, and closing process. In addition, the controller will initiate, drive and coordinate projects within KDEM and the KDEM-G to improve, align and optimize financial activities. Main responsibilities

The controller's primary responsibilities encompass both accounting and finance activities, with approximately 80% of the role dedicated to consolidation and the remaining 20% focused on finance tasks. While the position primarily entails operational duties, there's ample room for creative thinking and innovation. You'll be tasked with devising solutions to enhance processes continuously and collaborating on additional projects that demand strategic approaches.
 

Accounting activities:

• KDEM-G consolidation, analysis and management reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Finance coordinator to the Sales Companies to monitor and advise on strategies and action plans regarding consolidation. Provide operational development of accounting treatment and processes to Sales Companies (support/assistance) and ensure compliance with group policies and IFRS.
• Perform financial analysis and present findings to management.
• Maintain Sales Company account interface for management at European (KDEM) and Japanese HQ (KDC).
• Coordinate and support activities in transfer pricing; capitalization and other.
• Report finance impact related to any market activities/change of accounting treatment to management so that they can anticipate any potential risks, and propose solutions for remediation.
• Support the drive and implementation of financial best practices across KDEM-G to support with the development of the Sales Company.
• Provide KDEM finance progress and management reports.
   

Finance activities

• With the manager communicate financial advice to Sales Company’s finance activities, treasury and performance.
• Coordination and analysis in the creation and monitoring of fund planning and treasury activities at KDEM and KDEM-G.
• Coordinate healthy cash and loans management, relations with banks and KDC in Japan.
• Implement and manage a cash pooling scheme within KDEM-G.
• Perform Sales Company financial performance tracking & analysis.
• Assist in the initiation of Sales Company improvement of finance activities with KDC and Sales Companies.
• Work intensively with the Sales Companies to advise and minimize expenses and control cash to provide the analysis and support the Sales Companies to achieve their plans.
• Advise, coordinate and initiate projects with finance managers and finance teams in Sales Companies to improve all finance activities to achieve finance targets.
   

Projects

• Proactively track & analyse KPI performance to improve the financial health of both KDEM and KDEM-G.
• Perform accurate, timely and reliable full PL forecast management to ensure that KDEM can consolidate its KDEM-G performance report.

Your knowledge and skills

• A bachelor’s degree preferably in finance, business administration or related.
• A minimum of 8 years of work experience in finance.
• Working knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Working knowledge of consolidation and group accounting.
• Fluency in Business English and good communication skills.
• Experience with managing and coordinating business projects.
• Able to create full P&L forecast and collaborate with KDEM Sales team and Sales Companies.
• Experience working in a global company and collaborating with all levels of management
• Advanced knowledge of planning and forecasting methods is a plus
• IT knowledge to utilize BI tools for reporting and closing is a plus
• Monitoring, analysing and following up.
